Modular Sound is a culmination of the artist’s signatures such as graphite, space, body, time, space and gesture. The performance is a choreographic set of gestures resulting from exerting aggressive power and energy onto 3m squared paper canvas. The spontaneous gesture, that plays with scale and speed, responds to the live manipulated sound of the drawing. The body is used as a tool for measurement to demonstrate the limitation of the body through navigation of arms, speed and gender. As the performance develops the density of the score increases and the graphite trace of where the body was, is all that is left. The physical marking of body and sound.
